Sending GS1 Transport Status Document

The GS1 Transport Status document is used to send transport milestone updates to Bluescope for a shipment related to a Transport Instruction.
This message should be sent when key events occur (e.g. pickup confirmed, in transit, delivered).

What is the Transport Status message?

  • The Transport Status message provides progress updates for a transport movement related to a Transport Instruction.

  • It includes milestone events such as pickup, in transit, arrival, and delivered.

  • Each message should reference the relevant Transport Instruction / consignment reference.

Message format and delivery

  • The Transport Status message is provided in GS1 format.

  • Vendors send Transport Status updates using the agreed integration method and endpoint provided during onboarding.
